In collaboration with the Consulate General of Mexico, the Austin-Saltillo Sister Cities Association, the City of Austin, Univision, and Saltillo's Comité Internacional de Ciudades Hermanas, Austin’s annual "Fiesta de El Grito de Independencia" is a musical celebration and historical re-enactment of Mexico’s call for independence from Spain in 1810. This year, the event took place online. You were invited to enjoy the show live from anywhere in the world!

Special programming included Mexican and Tejano music, Folklorico Dancers, and more. The highlight of the evening was the re-enactment of “El Grito”, by the Honorable Pablo Marentes, Cónsul General de México which was televised on Univision during their News Hour at 10PM.
